Mental Note: Do not close a AIM window until you’ve saved the info that you needed from it. Especially when it’s the wishlist for your brother’s girlfriend’s birthday.
Addendum: James Brown is not the same as Billy Joel. It doesn’t matter how your brain got there, you’re still wrong.

 

Posting Hiatus

It’s been brought to my attention that people actually miss my posts here. I find this hard to believe. :-) Here’s a quick update on what’s kept me busy:

  • Learning more than I ever wanted to about Cisco configuration. Actually, I love learning new stuff like this, so it’s been a good thing. Although some of the intricacies of multicast are still baffling. If anyone knows what 224.0.0.2 and 224.0.0.13 are used for, please leave a message!
  • Upgraded the car with a new turbocharger. Been spending time enjoying all the new power, and fine tuning it.
  • Hanging out with some local friends of mine off-line.
  • Trying to catch up on sleep. I wasn’t doing a particularly good job of this until last night, when I laid down for a nap at 7:00 PM and woke up at 5:45 AM today.

So, that’s a quick list of what’s kept me busy. I’ll be travelling a lot over the next few days, so posting may continue to be scarce. Plus I’m about to hit the quarter century mark, so it’s time for a little birthday partying. Travel plans include Blacksburg, Roanoke, and Spring Grove to catch up with some friends in each locale.
